Response to Literature Essay

(Writing to Analyze)

I read a biography called Clara Barton by Lola Schaefer.  She was a nurse. Clara Barton was smart. Clara Barton helped soldiers.

Clara Barton was smart.  She was a teacher for 13 years. She built the Red Cross. I think, Clara Barton should be in charge of everyone, because she is smart.

Also, Clara   Barton helped soldiers. She helped hurt solders. She would bring supplies to the soldiers.  She said, “While our soldiers can stand and fight I can stand and feed and nurse them.” She would find dead solders. I think she is really brave.

In conclusion, Clara Barton was smart and Clara Barton helped soldiers.  I want to be like Clara Barton and be a nurse and help people. If it wasn’t for Clara Barton, some people would die because the Red Cross helps people, and she started it in the United States.
