I read biography called Johnny Appleseed by Patricia Demuth. He was a famous pioneer. Johnny Appleseed was helpful. Johnny Appleseed was smart.

Johnny Appleseed was helpful. He gave apple seeds and trees to settlers who needed food.  He helped settlers plant orchards. He told the settlers stories. On his grave it said, “Johnny Appleseed, John Chapman, He Lived for Others.” I think Johnny is a nice person because he is really nice and helps people get food.

Also, Johnny Appleseed was smart.  Johnny knew how to plant apple seeds    Johnny told stories to the settlers.  Johnny knew how to plant orchards. I think Johnny used his smartness!

In conclusion, Johnny Appleseed was helpful and Johnny Appleseed was smart.  I’m going to plant apple seeds just like Johnny Appleseed.  I’m going to plant them out in front of my house. The settlers wouldn’t have any, food if it wasn’t for Johnny Appleseed.
