Our second grade class has been studying the human body. We each chose one or two body parts to write a report on. I chose tendons and ligaments which is a part of the Muscular System. First, I will explain how the body part works. Then, I will teach how to  keep the body part healthy.

First, how do the tendons and ligaments work?  Ligaments are cords that hold joints together.  Tendons are cords that keep muscles attached to bones.  I think the tendons and ligaments are amazing because they hold things together.

Now, how can you keep your tendons and ligaments healthy? Tendons and ligaments and muscles become weak if they are not used .  Tendons, ligaments, and muscles are used a lot when you are swimming.  Exercise is good for tendons, ligaments,  and muscles.  I realize that you should exercise to keep your tendons, ligaments, and muscles healthy.

First, I explained how the tendons and ligaments work and then I taught how to keep your tendons and ligaments healthy. Now that I know how to keep tendons and ligaments healthy, I will swim and exercise because I don’t want my tendons and ligaments to be weak.  I think everyone should exercise every day because that will keep your tendons and ligaments healthy and stretchy.
