I read a biography called Young Christopher Columbus by Eric Carpenter.  He was an explorer.  Christopher Columbus was smart.  Christopher Columbus was a good leader.

Christopher Columbus was smart. He knew there were riches in other places.  He brought a good plan to the king.  He planned a safe trip. “He showed that it was possible to sail across the Atlantic Ocean.  Many explorers followed Columbus to the New World.” I think he was a good smart person because he knew a lot things and had good plans.

Also, Christopher Columbus was a good leader.     He was one of the first to sail to America. He was a part of the crew. The crew wanted to turn back. He said, “No!” I feel he was brave.

In conclusion, Christopher Columbus was smart and  Christopher Columbus was a good leader. It is good to have good smart leaders in the world. I want to work as a leader on a boat. I want to lead a crew. If it wasn’t for Christopher Columbus just the Native Americans would be in America.
